Week 6

I had a meeting with Alyssa and discussed the feedback from A1 and my designs.

A1 Feedback:

-Interesting lapel shape that integrates well with the back of the jacket

-Back of jacket is successful

-Design elements are still a little contained, it still looks like a blend of a blazer with some bulbous forms coming out, pulling out away from the body

-More integration with design elements on jacket, particularly the sleeve and the front closure

-Curving hem of jacket

-Dress needs to relate more to the approach of the jacket

-Empire line and halter back is not best approach of this brief

-Reiterate the jacket technique in the dress

-Approach dress deign fresh

-Make tech sketches more accurate and clear

Meeting Feedback:

-The linen and cotton work well together but the organza might not work well with them.
